Welcome!
The Australian and New Zealand Obesity Society (ANZOS) takes great pleasure in inviting you to attend the 2010 ANZOS Annual Meeting.
This year’s conference is themed “A Time for Change: Meeting the challenges of the future” and will take place at the newly renovated Hilton Hotel in the beautiful city of Sydney, Australia, 21-23 October 2010.
This event will commemorate the 20th anniversary of ANZOS and is designed to bring together clinicians, scientists, dieticians, researchers, psychologists, exercise physiologists, public health practitioners, guideline developers, students, educators, policy makers, administrators and patients to work toward an integrated approach to improve the management and prevention of obesity in Australasia.
We expect over 300 delegates to attend this year’s conference and engage in our comprehensive three-day program that will include a dynamic mix of renowned keynote speakers, informative sessions and workshops, and an exciting gala dinner.
We also warmly welcome the Australasian Child and Adolescent Obesity Research Network (ACAORN) and the CO-OPS collaboration of community-based obesity prevention sites. Both of these organisations will be holding their annual meetings at the Hilton prior to the ANZOS meeting. We wish them all the best in their obesity prevention and treatment work and hope their members are able to stay on after their respective meetings finish.
The ANZOS Annual Scientific Meeting will be the perfect conference for delegates with a genuine interest in obesity to network and share their experiences.
We look forward to welcoming you to Sydney for what promises to be an interesting and exciting event.
Warm regards
